Meet Melissa!

Let's see......you want to know about me, huh?

I'm pretty simple.  I've been in love with the same man since I was 16 years old.  He is my best friend and we believe in each other....always have....always will.  We have 3 of the most beautiful children you'll ever lay eyes on!  I'm most comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt (baseball undershirts are my fave!) although I do love getting dressed up for a night out on the town.  Sushi Den, anyone?  I'm a southern girl through and through.  I love crawfish!  Give me a huge slice of chocolate cake with fudge icing and a cold coke and I'm in heaven!  I'm a Daddy's girl.  I love the outdoors and I am more than willing to take part in anything remotely competitive.  I hate to lose even more than I hate clutter.  I am a lover of practical jokes and was taught by the best.  This is why, to this day, I don't answer my Mother's phone calls on April Fool's Day.  I cherish my friends and family.  They are the ones that have made me who I am.  I love the Lord with all my heart.  He is my strength and my joy.  He has blessed me in every way!  Oh, yeah......and did I mention I LOVE photography!  It is my PASSION!

In my bag:  Nikon D700, 85mm f 1.4 and 50mm f 1.8

Douglas County Divas April Networking Event

Wow!  It’s good to be a DIVA!

I attended my second Douglas County Divas event tonight, and it was fantastic!  Since last month’s meeting I have had the pleasure of sitting down with two of the three Diva creators, Pam and Theresa.  I will say this….these ladies are the real deal!  They are so genuine and nice, so easy to talk to….you’ve got to meet them!  I finally got to meet Heidi tonight as well, and she’s just as great!  Those three make a great team!

This month’s event started out at the super chic, new store, Chrysalis, located in the fabulous new Streets at Southglenn.  It was here that we all gathered to chat, shop and register for the fantastic door prize giveaways!  After a little while we all headed over (walked a few steps) to Bar Louie for the rest of the evening.  I can’t begin to tell you how amazing these events are for networking.  You have the chance to meet and talk to so many great women about what it is they do and how you can each be a part of helping each other out in the business world.  I have only been to two of these events and I have made such great contacts and received so much good feedback from my business….it’s so fun!  I can’t say it enough!  Come to the next event and just see for yourself.

What was really cool about this month’s event as well, was that I was able to bring my camera along and take some pics.  I created a slideshow of some of the images, so if you want to take a look…..click here!

April 21, 2010 - 7:23 am Pam Anderson - Thank you Melissa! The photos are amazing! You seemed to capture the right pose at the right moments last evening! We appreciate you taking the photos last night at the Diva event. I agree with you if you haven't checked out the Douglas County Diva events, you must put it on your calendar and make one...after that you will be hooked. So much fun networking and meeting the fabulous ladies of Douglas County. Thanks again, Pam Anderson :)
