How sweet is this little girl? And her big sister…..OMG! They are both so adorable and so comfortable in front of the camera. I just love this whole family! I can hardly believe Maddie is almost a year old. It seems like just the other day she was in her Momma’s belly and we were waiting on her arrival. We had such a good time in the park, playing and taking pictures. The light was beautiful that day and I couldn’t ask for better subjects. :) It was a joy! I spent the morning with such a sweet family! I got there a little early so I was able to get to know this precious little girl a little better. She was so fun to talk to and had such good manners. It made me miss that Princess stage of life with my two little girls. I remember it well.

Laura and Lee, thank you so much for allowing me in your home. I enjoyed capturing this precious time with you. Good luck next week with the delivery. I’ll see you in a few more weeks.

Think Pink {Maternity}

I’ve been looking forward to this session for months. Reasons of which were because I’ve been itching to do another Maternity session (its been a while) plus, the fact that Missy’s new baby is a girl and last but not least of the location. Some good friends of mine kindly opened up their beautful home so that we could sneak some very girly, very gorgeous lit images. I knew they would be beautiful and I’m so pleased with how they turned out.

Thank you Peachy and Rick for opening your home to us for a few hours. We had such a great time and we appreciate your generosity! Be blessed!

It’s a GIRL!!!

When my friends decided to do a shoot for their 15th month old this past weekend, I had an idea. See, they are expecting another sweet little one and they were scheduled to find out the sex of the baby early this week. I wanted to create a picture that would reveal the gender to all their family and friends.

I spent most of the night and early morning, before the shoot, thinking of how I wanted it to look. I literally lost sleep over this….my brain wouldn’t shut off. Anyway, I decided I wanted to create this celebration scene taking place outside, maybe under a nice big tree. I purchased some cotton candy and balloons both in blue and pink colors. I was also planning on using some bubbles as well, and was surprised that my friends actually showed up with bubbles themselves.

I decided to just go ahead and do the “celebration” scene first so we could get it out of the way and focus on the rest of the shoot. So, I found a great tree and Dad and I started blowing up balloons. Meanwhile, the wind is picking up. I’m getting a bit nervous at this point knowing that this is harder to create than I thought. It looked so much better in my head. There was definitely NO wind or pointy pine straw in my vision, making my balloons scatter and pop!

Long story short…..we managed to lose or pop most of our balloons, spill the bubbles all over poor dad’s shorts and soon-to-be big brother was impossible to get to look at the camera because he wanted to run after all the wind-strewn balloons! It was chaos and all we could do was laugh. I did my best to capture what I wanted, but my beautiful, perfect, vision for this one picture had a mind of its own!

Just so you know….I’m not perfect and things don’t always go like I want them to go, but sometimes you got roll with the punches and laugh! We definitely did alot of laughing! Thanks J & M for putting up with my crazy idea!

Look who is ONE!

I have no idea where the year went, but it sure went by fast! I can’t believe this little man is ONE! He’s already walking…fast! Mom and Dad certainly have their hands full. I have so enjoyed watching this little guy grow up this year. He was my very first “Baby’s 1st Year” client and I’ve had such a great time being a part of each milestone.

9 months? Already?

Can I just say…this kid gets cuter and cuter everytime I have a session with him. He has been a part of my “Baby’s 1st Year” collection and I can’t believe the year is almost up. Where did the time go? I’m sure that is what Mom and Dad are thinking too.

We had such a great time today. I’ve shot at this spot once before, but I have to say, it was tons of fun with a baby. The little guy was dressed super cute and I loved the little mohawk added just before the session while he was sleeping in the car. Perfect!

Look at this sweet, sweet boy! He’s my nephew and I’m in love with that curly tongue! My hubby’s sister and family came for a visit this week. It is actually the very first time I was able to hold and get to know my nephew. He’s such a cutie, and he’s got one of the sweetest personalities. So content and like I said, that tongue curl is a definite charmer!

While they were here we had to get some good pics. I’m still editing, but I wanted to post a few for Grandma’s to see! The one below is of all the Hatcher side cousins. I know my mother-n-law will LOVE this one!
